Food industry needs a high and specific degree of filtration to optimize the products conservation, for example by stopping the germs responsible for fermentation
The industrial filtration of food and beverage is a critical step for many processes or for the treatment of food processing waste.
Filtration plays a key role in maintaining food processing equipment, keeping food and beverages fresher and prolonging their shelf life.
By effectively removing contaminants, organic pigments, sediment, particles, and spoilage organisms, our high-performance filtration systems can significantly improve the taste, odor, shelf life, and visual clarity of your food and/or beverage products. We manufacture filtration systems for a wide variety of food and beverage applications

Filtration is a critical process in the food and beverage industry. It is mainly used to remove sediment, remove spoilage organisms, organic contaminants and other odour causing contaminants from food and beverages. Filtration systems are also very effective in maintaining the food processing equipment and protecting membranes that are used in preparation of potable water. Using compatible filtration equipment can effectively remove odour, improve taste, decolorize fluids, increase the shelf life of products, and give visual clarity to the food and beverage products.

Food and beverage items are susceptible to four types of contamination risks namely – chemical, microbial, physical and allergic. Failing to remove any of these contaminants can harm the person consuming the food or beverage. It is the responsibility and liability of the food and beverage processing facility to prepare edible food and beverage items that are free from any contamination and are safe for the consumer. This can be ensured by adopting effective methods of filtration, separation and contaminant removal and making the edible items pleasing to the eye, good to taste and safe to consume.
The various stages of the Food and Beverage production process raise purification and separation challenges:
•    Prefiltration, clarification, stabilization and sterilization are critical processes for protecting the quality of the final product. These filtration stages remove particles, yeast, mould spores and bacteria to ensure clear and bright beverages, as well as preventing blockages further downstream.
•    Sterile air and purified process gases are used throughout the production process to prevent oxidization or contamination when the gas or air comes into direct or indirect contact with the product. Sterile tank vent filters are essential in providing sterile air during the emptying process, to prevent the ingress of airborne organisms and yeasts. Filtration is also key in providing purified compressed air, carbon dioxide and nitrogen, used in the cleaning, blanketing, carbonation and packaging processes.
•    Hydrotech Filtration is the final filtration stage prior to bottling and is used primarily for the retention of remaining diatomaceous earth and polyvinylpolypyrrolidone particles that are used in primary filtration and stabilization.
•    The filtration of potable, mineral and processing water is predominantly needed to control yeast and microbes. Filtration is also essential for clarifying utilities water to prevent blockages downstream, process water used for cleansing plant equipment, dechlorination, the dilution of beverages in intensified production and bottle washing.
